Foster a Child
Provide a safe, nurturing environment for a child who cannot live with their biological family. As a foster parent, you offer stability, care, and support during a critical time in a child’s life—helping them heal, grow, and thrive while working toward a permanent solution. Following the success of the summit, the network grew in scope and ambition. In 2013, the Child Survival Centre organized the Child Adoption Conference, which further solidified the commitment to child protection and family-based care. These efforts culminated in the formal registration of ACCA in October 2017 as a non-profit organization under Kenyan law.
Today, ACCA stands as a vibrant consortium of over 20 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) united by a shared mission to make Kenya a safe and nurturing environment for all children. Our work is guided by international treaties, the Constitution of Kenya 2010, and the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). We advocate for policies and practices that prioritize the best interests of children, ensuring they grow up in loving and supportive families.
